Vladyslav “Shatya” Shatilo has completed 42.2 km of 🇺🇦

Every kilometer was dedicated to those holding the front line, to those returning home and learning how to live again after injury, and to those who keep moving forward even in the hardest moments.

He ran with Ukraine on his mind - to remind the world that the war is still ongoing, that Ukrainians continue to fight, and that Ukraine stands strong.

Together, we’ve reached 88% of our fundraising goal - and we’re almost at the finish line🦾

🇺🇦 Support a Ukrainian Hero at the Toronto Marathon!

On Sunday, May 3, Ukrainian veteran and defender Vladyslav «Shatya» Shatilo will run the full 42 km of the Toronto Marathon alongside Oleksandr Pedan , co-producer of the documentary Second Wind.

Vladyslav has been defending Ukraine since 2014. After a severe injury, he recovered, returned to service, and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro with fellow veterans. Now he’s running for something bigger.

They run to:
🔹 Remind the world about the ongoing war in Ukraine
🔹 Shine a light on the stories of Ukrainian defenders
🔹 Raise funds for the rehabilitation of wounded veterans

All proceeds go directly to veteran rehabilitation.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Evening of Solidarity & Fundraiser “Light the Night” at Drom Taberna. 💙💛

Because of your generosity, we were able to raise $4,320 in support of to help respond to urgent needs in Ukraine.

As Ukraine continues to endure intensified attacks on its energy infrastructure - leaving cities without heat, water, and electricity - your support directly helps communities facing another difficult winter.

Thanks to the joint efforts of Second Front Ukraine Foundation, Dzyga's Paw and “Valkyrie” Tanya Mirzaeva, we were able to deliver an EW (electronic warfare) system to the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade. It is already helping carry out combat missions and protect our defenders🦾
