More than a soccer club ⚽️

Regent Park United started in the heart of downtown Toronto as a simple idea: give kids a place to play, belong and grow through soccer... for free.

What began as a single weekly session in Regent Park has grown into house leagues, competitive pathways, and year-round programming in 4 communities across the city.

All of it is still rooted in the same mission: removing barriers and building-in access so kids have a real chance to get on the field.

Powered by local volunteers and shaped by the neighbourhoods they're in... this is what happens when community leads.

550 miles. 21 days. One incredible purpose. 🏃‍♂️💙

At just 18 years old, is running around Lake Ontario, tackling a marathon a day for 21 days to help more kids access the life-changing benefits of sport.

Having grown up as an athlete himself, Adam knows firsthand the confidence, community, and opportunities that sport can create. Now, he's turning that passion into action for kids who face barriers to play.

As Adam puts it: "To accomplish big goals, it has to come from a place beyond yourself. I'm doing it for a bigger cause than myself."

We're cheering you on every step of the way, Adam. 👏

Recently, we celebrated the grand opening of our Toronto and Surrey community soccer pitches, marking the launch of our national initiative to build 25 pitches across Canada by 2029 ⚽️

Built in partnership with communities and designed for long-term impact, each space supports free access, ongoing programming, and greater participation in sport.

These spaces go beyond infrastructure. They’re creating lasting opportunities for children to play, connect, and thrive in their own communities.

And we’re just getting started.

Introducing More Than a Pitch, a heartfelt look at the new Jumpstart soccer pitches opening across Canada and the communities they’re bringing together. Episode 1 takes us to Toronto’s Harbourfront Centre to celebrate the first pitch opening and the community bringing it to life.

Through conversations with community leaders, youth, and families, this episode explores how accessible spaces to play can help strengthen connections, create opportunities, and make sport more welcoming for everyone. To kick off Play to Lead's first summit of the year, our athletes got their own Career Discovery Lab — a career fair at CTC headquarters where Canada Basketball, Ontario University Athletics, Tennis Canada and more showed up to connect, share, and inspire.
