Design Dialogue: What Is Really in the Room?
October 21 | 12:00 PM–01:30 PM EST | Virtual
Join Deborah Soulier, Founder and Principal Designer of Soulier Design Studio, for an interactive Design Dialogue exploring what lies beneath the surface of the materials we specify every day.
From paint and cabinetry to textiles, upholstery, adhesives and finishes, Deborah will look at how material choices can influence indoor air quality, human health, sustainability and long-term livability. Using her Three-Lens Test — People, Planet and Longevity, she will share practical ways designers can ask better questions and make more informed specification decisions.
About Deborah: Deborah has led Soulier Design Studio for more than 19 years and brings decades of experience in design, property management and building operations. She currently serves on the WELL Building Standard Materials Concept Advisory and is Chair of DDA Canada’s Education Committee. Her work focuses on material integrity, wellness, sustainability and creating interiors that support the people who live in them.
Join the conversation and discover how small changes in the specification process can help create healthier, more thoughtful spaces.
