Today, we wear orange and light up our main office in orange in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

September 30 is a day to remember the children who were taken from their families and communities, honour Survivors and their families, and acknowledge the lasting impacts of the residential school system.

As an organization, Middlesex Community Living is committed to ongoing learning, listening, and reflection. We encourage everyone to learn from Indigenous voices, explore the history and legacy of residential schools, and take time to reflect on what reconciliation means.

Truth and reconciliation is not limited to one day. It is an ongoing responsibility that calls on all of us to continue learning, listening, and taking meaningful action.

To recognize Community Living Month, Colin Grantham, Mayor of Strathroy-Caradoc, joined residents and supporters at City Hall for the raising of the Community Living flag.

Celebrated across Ontario each May, Community Living Month shines a light on the achievements of the Community Living movement and reinforces the importance of inclusion, acceptance, and belonging within our communities.
