This spring, the Strathroy Rotary Club is taking action by planting native trees, thus sowing seeds of environmental change for the future. Together with the municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc, 15 trees (all native species) now call Victoria Park in Strathroy home. These trees will provide clean air, sequester carbon, and provide homes for wildlife. The Strathroy Scouts and Strathroy Interact Club assisted the Rotary club in planting these trees. Youth from these groups were able to learn new skills and contribute to building intergenerational connections! Overall, this event was a huge success with lots of laughs and beautiful weather. Thank you to everyone who was involved in this amazing initiative! π³β€οΈ
