For generations, many Indigenous groups and communities have celebrated their culture and heritage on June 21 or around that time of year because of the significance of the summer solstice as the longest day of the year.

Need a little time to unwind, get creative, and connect with other moms?

Join us at Islands Park for a fun and relaxing Mom's Lounge session! Design and tie-dye your own tote bag while enjoying conversation, laughter, and a chance to recharge. Best of all, your children will be entertained nearby by Shelburne Family Resource Centre staff, giving you some space to focus on you. In partnership with GATE

Drop in to the Shelburne Family Resource Centre for a casual, informative chat about how to keep your kids safe, happy, and healthy during the warmer months. It’s completely free, and no registration is required—just pop on by!
