Thank you all for the feedback on the idea of adding a “pay it forward” / nomination option 🤍 I appreciate it more than you know!
I’m going to take this week to work out more details and see how I can bring it all together.

Thank you to everyone who continues to nominate, it’s something I genuinely love doing.

Had some sitting time at work, finishing up some items for nominees and I began thinking about starting something a little different… 🤍

What would you think about a “pay it forward” option where you can nominate someone in your life for a small surprise gift? This would be in addition to Crochet It Forward, not replacing it.

Someone who needs a pick-me-up, someone who deserves a little extra recognition, or just someone you think deserves something special 💌

I’d include cozy/self-care items like:
• Scrunchie set
• Makeup scrubbies set
• Dishcloth set
• Sleep mask
• Coffee sleeve
• Coaster set
and a personalized card (if there’s enough interest, I would eventually add more items)

I’d keep my regular Crochet It Forward nomination form, and add a second/separate one just for nominations for the new project.
Nothing is finalized yet, I just want to see if there’s interest before I build it out 👀

Did you know that when you nominate a family/parent, you can choose up to 4 colours for their free gift? 🤍
Although colours aren’t always 100% guaranteed, I will always do my absolute best to find what you want and make your vision come to life for your nomination.

These little cuties are the perfect stuffed animals. Great as a playmate, a snuggle buddy, or as a special keepsake to remind you of those first precious newborn moments 🫶🏽 🫶🏽

Black History Month Headband 🖤❤️💛💚

This one means a lot to me. I’m proud of my African heritage, and I was blessed enough to be raised by some of the strongest, most amazing Black men and women. They shaped who I am in so many ways, and I carry that pride with me every day.🤎

Did you know fiber arts have long been part of Black creative tradition? Enslaved Africans used fiber arts like sewing, spinning, weaving, mending and quilting not only for necessity, but as acts of skill, resistance, and storytelling. As crochet became popular in the 1800s, Black women also carried that tradition forward, turning needle arts into income, community, and creative expression. (examples below)
To me, this represents strength, heritage, and the people who raised me. ✊🏾

Thank you for all the kind messages concerning my last post 🩷

Even though I’m out of commission for the next week or so while I let my flare up calm down, I’ll still be accepting nominations.

I’m dealing with an unexpected health flare-up, so I’ll be out of commission from crocheting for a little bit. I am hoping it won’t be longer than a few days-a week🤞🏾
