If you’ve been down to the marina or park lately, you may have noticed our latest addition — the first of two new gazebos is up!

Our President, Eric and VP, Mark spearheaded the assembly during some seriously hot weather. 🥵 A few trusty volunteers pitched in throughout the build process. It took a little blood, sweat and tears, but they got the job done!

A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped make it happen. Eric and Mark you guys are awesome! One down… one to go! ⚓️

Another amazing moment from the mackerel derby — meet the Hipson boys, three proud generations of anglers: Alan, Les, and Cole! 🎣 These three had an absolute blast out on the water, reeling in memories (and maybe a few fish too!).

Here’s our mackerel champion — the incredible Patricia Hipson! 🐟 Patricia reeled in the biggest catch at our derby and had an absolute blast out on the water with three generations of Hipson men. Parker George was a total rockstar on the water in the 14 & under category of our mackerel derby🎣 He spent the day fishing with his mom, dad, grandad, and sister — three generations reeling in some awesome mackerel and making memories that’ll last a lifetime. Big congrats to Sheila Acker, our awesome 2nd place finisher! 🎣 Behind every great woman is a great partner — shoutout to Louis for being the perfect teammate on this perfect day. Oakley Brannen kissed his biggest catch for luck. The smooch paid off! Oakley took home second prize in the 14 and under division. He won some nice prizes donated by Moe's Shake Shack. He is becoming a regular in our mackerel derby and we look forward to seeing him again next year. Great pic!

Another big shoutout to Scarlett — our most junior angler at the derby. 🐟 She scored a cool T-shirt, thanks to the Municipality of Shelburne, and a tasty treat certificate from Moe’s Shake Shack — way to go, Scarlett!
And a hearty congratulations to our most seasoned fisher, Les Hipson! 🎣 Les reeled in some serious respect (and a super cozy fishing hoodie, donated by TLC Pharmacy)! We’ll get a pic next time, Les — you’re a legend!
