Check out the Shelburne County Museum this weekend!

Tonight, September 4 at 7PM is the premiere of the documentary, Apart but Together followed by a Q&A with Monika Mak, Joanna Nash, and Diana Tso.

Tomorrow, September 5 from 1-4PM - Public exhibition with artists present, including a live poetry reading, artist talk and mixed media presentation.

Sunday, September 6 from 1-3PM - Roundtable discussion with local artists and visiting artists about arts during COVID.

Join us this evening, Friday 4 September 2026 from 7 – 9 pm, in the community room at the Shelburne County Museum for the premiere screening of the documentary “Apart But Together”.

Monica Mak will introduce her film, how it developed into a collaboration during the pandemic, and was eventually completed post-COVID. The first-time viewing of the film will be followed by introductions to Joanna, Diana and Shiva, and a public Q&A.

The film will be shown in the community room until Wednesday 16 September.

Oliver Hatton’s work sits within the Representational-Impressionist realms.
Always engaged with art in some form, he took up painting more seriously over a decade ago.
Originally from the UK, he now lives and works in Nova Scotia, Canada.

As always, admission is by donation. All donations go towards supporting SCAC in programming and supporting local artists. We hope to see you there!

🎨 Friday, July 24: Closing reception for the SCAC Members Exhibition at the Shelburne County Museum from 4 - 7PM. Come out and see some great work by our members and meet some of the artists!

🖼️ Friday, July 24 - Sunday, July, 26: Harmony in Art exhibit sponsored by SCAC at the Harmony Bazaar Festival of Women & Song in Lockeport featuring work by local artists Lorin Hesse, Julie Locke Balish, Laurie Swim and Rebecca Tudor. And while

🧑‍🎨 Saturday, July 25 - SCAC presents the next in our ARTS TALK series featuring local painter Oliver Hatton. Join us at 2PM in the Community Room at the Shelburne County Museum.

All events are free/by donation. We hope to see you at one or all of the events this weekend!
