LiUNA Local 1089 proudly recognized retiree Rick Pinkett, as he celebrated an incredible 50 years of membership!
We were honoured to present him with his official 50-Year Gold Card from the Laborers’ International Union of North America, this celebrates 50 years of hard work and achievements which was presented to him at the monthly Retiree Club meeting among friends, pizza, and games.

On June 20, 2026, Local 1089 held our Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Huron Oaks Golf Course.

We are proud to share that the proceeds raised from this event were donated to several organizations in the Sarnia-Lambton community, including Pathways Health Centre for Children, St. Joseph’s Hospice Sarnia-Lambton, Inn of the Good Shepherd, the Shine Foundation, and Noelle’s Gift to Children.

These organizations provide important programs, services, and support to individuals and families throughout our community, and Local 1089 is honoured to contribute to the work they do.

On July 9, we were proud to host our annual Retiree Picnic at the LiUNA Local 1089 Hall.

Retirees enjoyed an afternoon filled with a BBQ, a bocce ball tournament, raffle prizes, and plenty of laughter while catching up with friends and former coworkers.

This annual picnic is our way of showing appreciation for the many years of hard work and dedication our retirees have given to our union and industry. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it another memorable day!

This Saturday is the Annual Clarance Fields Memorial Car & Bike Show, held at the LiUNA Local 1089 Union Hall.

Donations will be given to the St. Joseph’s Hospice Sarnia Lambton and LiUNA Local 1089 Clarance Fields Scholarship Fund.

Join us this weekend to support this event and help us raise money for a great cause!
