WPSHC Foundation The West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation is the fundraising arm of the hospital in Parry Sound. Our area is also home to six First Nations communities.

With close to 700 employees, the West Parry Sound Health Centre (WPSHC) is the largest employer in the area. Built in 2005, WPSHC is an ultra-modern rural teaching hospital affiliated with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) and Canadore College. Despite being situated in a rural northern location, the Health Centre typically supports 20,000 emergency visits per year. Our resident popul

ation of 25,000 expands to more than 120,000 in the summer months. WPSHC is known for creating Ontario's first Aboriginal Healing Room in a hospital setting.

On June 7, Walk, Run, Pole will bring people together at the Charles W. Stockey Centre and along the fitness trail in support of the $2.5 million Surgical Suite upgrade at West Parry Sound Health Centre.
