☀️ EMPLOYERS: CANADA SUMMER JOBS 2027 APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN!

Looking to bring some extra help into your business or organization next summer? Now is the time to start planning!

The Government of Canada’s Canada Summer Jobs 2027 program is now accepting employer applications, providing wage subsidies to help businesses, non-profits and public-sector organizations hire young Canadians between the ages of 15 and 30.

💰 How can the program help?

* Private and public-sector employers may receive funding for up to 50% of the provincial minimum wage.
* Not-for-profit organizations may receive up to 100% of the provincial minimum wage, plus eligible mandatory employment costs.

📅 Important Dates:

* Applications opened: October 27, 2026
* Application deadline: December 3, 2026
* Summer employment period: April 19 – August 28, 2027

This is an excellent opportunity for employers throughout the West Parry Sound District to offset hiring costs, strengthen their teams and give young people valuable opportunities to gain real-world experience, develop new skills and take their first steps into the workforce.

The Parry Sound Area Chamber of Commerce encourages local employers to explore this funding opportunity and start planning their summer hiring needs early!

If you are an established (2 years or more) women owned business looking to grow, scale-up, or expand, BizGrowth by PARO Centre for Women's Enterprise may be for you.

Businesses may have difficulty moving their business to the next level and this program is designed to help businesses increase and capitalize on market opportunities to grow and expand. The purpose is to assist businesses to expand into new markets.

They can cover 50-90% from $2,500 to $5,000 in assistance towards approved costs in the following categories:
- Attend trade missions, conferences and trade shows
- Purchase equipment, training on how to use newly acquired equipment, and certification costs
- Utilization of Information Communication Technology (ICT)

Only businesses located in Ontario are eligible for this program.
