Awesome news, we have our Judge! Lee has been here before and did a great job! A little something about Lee Stevens.
Lee moved from Australia to Canada at a young age and grew up at Teen Ranch, a Christian sports camp in Caledon, Ontario.
After high school she joined full-time staff at Teen Ranch for 25 years, serving as Horsemanship Director. Caring for 40 horses and mentoring staff and campers. She then had her own boarding and lesson facility until 2011.
She was a clinician certifying riding instructors in Canada and the U.S. She also served on the board of CHA, ( Certified Horsemanship Association). She managed the Teen Ranch Quarter Horse Shows, Open Shows and Hunter/Jumper Shows for 25 years.
She was also course designer for Quarterama in Toronto for 10 years. She was also the Show Manager for the Orangeville Fall Fair for a decade as well. Lee has since advised and helped others launch new horse shows using her extensive experience.
Lee got her first pony at the age of 7 and began competing at 12. Showing on the Trillium and Quarter Horse Circuits in Hunter, Jumper, Showmanship and Trail. Excelling in Hunter and Jumper. She taught and coached for many years until the loss of her daughter in 2010, after which life took a new direction.
Today, Lee is a long haul truck driver and continues to follow her passion as an English and Western Judge. She loved helping riders grow by offering thoughtful feedback to anyone who wants it.
She looks forward to meeting the Foley community and judging at the fair.
