Happy Pride, Ottawa!

Kicking it off tonight with the Trans March.

Ever wondered why Ottawa celebrates Pride in August?

We commemorate the We Demand Rally. Held on August 28, 1971, it was the first major 2SLGBTQIA+ rally in Ottawa.

While Pride celebrates, honours, and highlights the diverse expressions of gender, sexuality, and so much more in our community, we must always remember the struggle at its roots. Now, more than ever, we fight in solidarity with our Brothers, Sisters, and Siblings.
