You give not only your time, but often your own resources and vacation days—showing up with compassion, expertise, and an unwavering commitment to improving lives.

A highly respected community builder, cultural ambassador, and media voice, Sarah has spent over 30 years uplifting and connecting communities. From her global upbringing to her professional background in linguistics and translation, she brings a powerful perspective rooted in culture, communication, and inclusion. 🌍

As the founder of BlackOttawa411, Sarah created a vital platform that continues to connect Ottawa’s Black community with businesses, events, and opportunities. Her work in radio and television—including Black on Black, Afrika Revisited, and Fontonfrom—has amplified diverse voices and stories across Canada.

A seasoned and sought-after MC, Sarah has hosted countless national and international events, bringing warmth, insight, and authenticity to every stage she graces. Her contributions have earned her numerous honours, recognizing her outstanding commitment to community service.

🌍🕊️ Honouring Stephen Lewis 🕊️🌍

CACHA joins Canadians and the global health community in mourning the passing of Stephen Lewis — a remarkable humanitarian whose work transformed the global response to HIV/AIDS.

From his role as UN Special Envoy to founding the Stephen Lewis Foundation, his leadership helped bring global attention to millions affected and inspired action worldwide.

💙 Stephen Lewis also holds a special place in CACHA’s history, serving as keynote speaker at our first Gala in 2002 and supporting early work with our partners in Tanzania.

His legacy lives on through the communities he uplifted and the movement he helped build. We honour him by continuing the work he championed — advancing health, dignity, and equity for all.

🌍✨ Kamengo Mission Complete: Thank You, Team CACHA ✨🌍

The 2026 CACHA Medical Mission in Kamengo, Uganda officially came to an end last week.

The final day was a powerful one — with 14 surgeries completed, cataract procedures restoring sight, and a meaningful visit to a local high school. 💙

While we’re still compiling the full impact of this mission, one thing is already clear: it was made possible by an incredible community of dedicated volunteers and supporters.

To every single person who gave their time, skill, and heart — thank you. Your compassion continues to change lives.

As our team begins the journey home, we wish everyone safe travels and a well-deserved rest. ✈️
