Helping With Furniture / Aidons avec des meubles We provide the comforts of home to displaced people living in Ottawa. Every week we collect and deliver these household items. Everything we do for them is free.

Donations from our community help us support our clients, reduce furniture poverty, and keep useful items out of landfills. Many Ottawa residents have good quality furniture and furnishings that are surplus to their needs. Often we arrive to empty houses; our task is to leave them furnished and to leave our Families feeling welcomed, and hopeful. Helping with Furniture is entirely staffed and operated by volunteers. The cost for us to completely furnish a home is less than $190.00.

Another Saturday done. We received loads of donations that will be donated to clients on Wednesday and Saturday next week. We had a huge team of volunteers so the warehouse is surprisingly better than it was when we started and all our clients left happy.

We got a surprise visit from one of our past Police Foundation student who now lives in Victoria. He was on leave from the army. So nice of him to come help for the day!

Big thx to the team for all the work.
