It’s Fire Prevention Week!

🚒 Safety should always be a top priority in child care. This week, it's time to check that emergency drills are working effectively and to teach children age-appropriate safety rules through stories, songs, and hands-on play.

🚨 Encourage families to take a moment to check their smoke alarms and review home safety plans!

Every Child Matters. 🧡

On this National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (Orange Shirt Day), we pause to remember the children who never came home, honour residential school Survivors, and stand with First Nations, Inuit, and Métis families.
Reconciliation is an ongoing journey. In early childhood education, we are committed to creating culturally safe, inclusive spaces, listening to Indigenous teachings, and embedding Indigenous languages and traditions into our daily practice.
Today and every day, let’s walk forward together with humility, respect, and meaningful action.
