A welcoming community, supporting each other through diverse programs & resources to create healthy neighbourhoods. last year alone, we served 3137 people in 1267 households. Our centres have been set up to be non-institutional, barrier free space, so they are welcoming to everyone. It is a reflection of

the needs, talents and gifts of our neighbours and friends so that it is relevant to the whole community. We believe in supporting the whole community together, regardless of income level, age or background. OPNC is a charitable organization and volunteers are the core of our organization. Our centre has various programs including, multicultural programs (Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, German, Arabic, Newcomers); harm reduction, food bank, community garden, counselling support group, tenant support, poverty support group, utility bill payments, financial literacy, year round income tax, Seniors, supports for people with disabilities. We run family, infant, toddler, preschool and youth programs. We also have an affordable preschool, camp and before and after school programs. We provide free or affordable space to a number of local agencies and businesses to run family programming including Rock, Nelson Youth Centre, HIPPY, Guides, Russian music theater, Halton Legal, Halton Region, Oakville Library, Kerry’s Place, Stride, The Bridge, SAVIS, SOS first Aid, Karate, and Wei Yan Art Classes.

The 18th Annual Oakville Food Drive was a huge success thanks to , Purolator, Food for Life, King's Community Church - Oakville and all the congregations who distributed and picked up food Munns United Church, Hillspring Church, St. Simon's Anglican Church in Oakville, Beth El, , River Oaks Community Church, Clarkson Community Church, ClearView Church Oakville, Glen Abbey United Church and of course to all the people who left food out at their door steps. We collected an amazing 22,000 pounds of food! The food drive began as a way to make sure local food banks had food over the summer months when donations are typically down and to bring faith communites together. Thank you for filling the shelves of our local food banks!

Help Fill our Local Food Banks for the summer months! Watch for a Purolator bag or paper bag dropped at your door for our 18th annual food drive this Sunday June 14. Please fill your bag with non-expired food and leave out on your doorstep before 10am Sunday for volunteers to pick up. If you forget to put it out in time or you don't receive a bag, please drop off at your nearest food bank- Kerr Street Mission, FareShare, Oak Park Neighbourhood Centre, The Salvation Army Ontario Division. email [email protected] with any questions.
