This National Nurses Week, we’re recognizing the incredible nurses at Halton ADAPT. 💙

Although this is just one nurse, our entire team of Community Withdrawal Management nurses and Nurse Practitioners provide more than clinical care.

They offer support, guidance, and compassion when it matters most. From health education to treatment support and ongoing care, their work plays a vital role in helping individuals feel safe, informed, and supported.

Thank you for the care you provide and the difference you make in our community every day. 🌿

Meet Michaela ✨

As part of our Intake team, Michaela is often the first point of contact for individuals reaching out to ADAPT. She values being able to build meaningful connections right from the start and help guide people toward the support that best fits their needs and goals.

“It’s a privilege to be someone clients can confide in and trust as they begin their journey.” 💙

Outside of work, Michaela enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active at the gym, and reading, all ways she recharges and takes care of her own well-being. 🌿

Do you share any of the same passions or hobbies as her? let us know in the comments below! ⬇️

After more than 38 years of dedication, leadership, and heart, we’re sharing that our CEO, Glen Ricketts, will be retiring. 💙

Glen’s journey with ADAPT began working directly with clients and grew into decades of leadership that helped shape the organization into what it is today. His impact can be felt in every program, every team member, and every individual and family we’ve had the privilege to support.

Through times of growth and challenge — including leading ADAPT through the pandemic, Glen led with integrity, compassion, and a deep commitment to dignity, respect, and care. His kindness, warmth, and ability to make people feel seen will be truly missed.

Glen, thank you for everything you’ve given to ADAPT and to this community. Your legacy will continue to shape the work we do for years to come.

Wishing you all the best in this next chapter, it’s so well deserved. 🌿
