Safetynet Charities

Safetynet Charities Helping people is what we do. We rely on community donations to provide free wrap-around services to financially disadvantaged families.

Clothing and housewares can be dropped off at our location in Oakville, at 166 South Service Rd East. Drop-off hours:

-166 South Service Rd East. Mon-Fri 9:30am-4:00pm, Saturday 9:30am-1pm

Stained, ripped, or clothing that cannot be used by the charity is recycled and the proceeds support our music and tutoring programs, as well as ensuring unwanted clothing is not clogging our landfills. If you

have furniture to donate, please contact [email protected]. Follow our page for updates on our most needed items, seasonal drives, and more! If you are experiencing financial hardship please click the 'register here' button on the home page of our website, so we can assist you.

Life is hard enough without having to carry it all alone.

If your family is going through a difficult time โ€” emotionally, relationally, or just feeling the weight of it all โ€” Safetynet's free family counselling program was made for you.

We offer no-cost counselling to families living below the poverty line in Halton. No barriers. Just real support from people who care.

You are not behind. You are not broken. You just need a hand โ€” and that's exactly what we're here for. ๐Ÿ’›

Visit https://www.safetynetservices.ca/family-counselling to be added to the interest list and find out if you qualify.

Bella and her friend, Onyeche from King's Christian Collegiate collected backpacks filled with school supplies. Bella asked her mom to drop them off for our Back to School program โ€” then mom hid behind them because she didn't want to take their credit!

These girls get it. ๐Ÿงก. (Thanks, mom)

Their donations go directly to kids in our community who need a little extra support heading into the new school year.

Big things are in the works at Safetynet. ๐Ÿ™Œ

We recently met to discuss our 5-year strategic plan โ€” and we couldn't have done it without the generous support of Sam and Xin of ICA Associates, who donated their consulting expertise, and Holiday Inn on Argus Rd, who made space for the work to happen.

This is what community partnership looks like. Thank you! ๐Ÿงก

1st Glen Abbey Scouts packed their hearts into every kit and we are so grateful!

Dozens of hygiene kits, filled with essentials and ready to reach members of Oakville's homeless community โ€” all because a group of young people chose to show up for others.

Thank you to these amazing Scouts and their families. You remind us why community matters. ๐Ÿ’›

This spring, The Learning Grove organized a donation drive for Safetynet families in need. The individuals they support โ€” many living with disabilities โ€” planned it, sorted it, and delivered it themselves.

For many, it was a chance to discover their own power to make a difference. For the families who received the donations, it was a reminder that this community has their back.

This is what community looks like.
