Celebrating 16 years of impact!

What began in 2009 as a vision by a small group of survivors and caregivers has grown into a national organization, reaching millions of Canadians each year. Along the way, we’ve advocated for legislation, launched life-saving programs, built support networks, and raised awareness from coast to coast.

Thank you for supporting our vision of a future with zero melanoma and skin cancer related deaths.

➡️ This is the impact we made together in 2025.

41% of melanomas on men are found on the torso/chest.

Melanoma is highly treatable when caught early, with survival rates significantly higher at early stages.

However, men continue to self-check less frequently than women, and melanomas in men are often detected at later stages, contributing to worse outcomes.

What an excellent time at the Bloor-Yorkville Business Improvement Area event so far - spreading the word about sun safety and prevention with Neutrogena® ☀️

Did you know that the leading cause of melanoma is the over exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun? Outdoor sports like soccer put us at higher risk, unless you play it sun-safe!

Take part in the fun until June 27th, and learn more about prevention with us. Be sure to wear your hat, shades, and sunscreen!

Something special is coming down the pipeline for Smash Out Skin Cancer Toronto on October 3rd; incorporating pickleball, fashion, and stylish sun safety!

Thank you Jeanne Beker, Kim Newport-Mimran, and Tilley Sport for your support of this important initiative.

Skin cancer is the most common cancer in Canada, and melanoma rates continue to rise. The good news? Many cases are preventable. With the right sun safety education, protective resources, and shaded environments, we can reduce risk and protect future generations before cancer starts.

UV exposure is the primary cause of melanoma and skin cancer. ☀️ One blistering sunburn during childhood significantly increases the risk of a melanoma or skin cancer diagnosis later in life.

Together, we are helping protect future generations and working toward a future with zero melanoma and skin cancer deaths.
