Join Bees Knees Cafe owner, Shirin Younessian, as she take you on a journey of culinary tradition & culture of her homeland, Iran and learn how to make Northern Persian Shami Kabas served with Tomato Sauce over Steamed Rice. During the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, the Zonta Club of Nepean Valley wants to remind our community of a simple — yet powerful — tool that can save lives.

🤚 The hand signal for help is a silent way to ask for assistance if you are in danger or experiencing violence.

Here’s how it works:
1️⃣ Make your palm visible
2️⃣ Tuck your thumb into your palm
3️⃣ Fold your fingers down to cover your thumb
4️⃣ Repeat the action

This signal can be shown discreetly in person or on video calls to indicate you need help — without speaking a word.
