Meet Aisling, our Music Therapist at Kiwanis Lodge! 🎶

Although Aisling has been part of our community for a few months now, we’re excited to officially introduce her. Through group and one to one music therapy sessions, she brings connection, creativity, and meaning to residents- supporting emotional expression, memory, and well-being in ways that words alone sometimes can’t.

We’re so grateful to have Aisling as part of the Kiwanis Lodge team!

We had the Men’s Shed Nanaimo join us again this month for some awesome time of woodworking, connection, and conversation. Thanks to the Men’s Shed for their time in preparing the kits, and their time volunteering to help lead this session!

Our annual Rose Bouquet Day at Kiwanis Lodge is always one of those moments that stays with us.

Thanks to a very generous community donor, every Lodge Resident received a bouquet of roses. With help from volunteers, residents, and a few festive elves, each bouquet found its way into Resident’s rooms, bringing a bit of light and love into the holiday season. These are some of the moments that truly remind us just how generous and caring our community is.

We were really grateful to welcome a few fellas from the Men’s Shed Nanaimo, who helped prepare some assembly kits for a men’s woodworking program at the Lodge! We look forward to continuing this through 2026!

If you’ve been meaning to grab one for a good cause, now’s the time! They'll be arriving at Kiwanis for pickup on Tuesday, Dec 2.

Kiwanis Lodge is supporting the 'Angel Gift Tree' program once again this year. You'll find a tree with gift tags in the Lodge lobby, and if you're able, friends and family and staff are invited to take a tag, shop for a gift, and bring it back to the Recreation office by December 16th- to bring some joy and kindness to a Resident on Christmas Day!
