Silly Boat Regatta raffle tickets are now being sold in the community! Top prize is $4,000, sponsored by The Well Pub. Silly Boat sponsor and team RBC will be selling raffle tickets at the Commercial Street Night Market starting tonight, and tickets can also be purchased from Nanaimo Child Development Centre staff and at the Centre on Nelson Street. We will also be selling raffle tickets at the Silly Boat Regatta on July 19 at Maffeo Sutton Park. Good luck to everyone who buys a raffle ticket!

The Nanaimo Child Development Centre's CYD Teen Volunteer Group held a bottle drive over two days this month in support of Silly Boat Regatta fundraising efforts for the Centre. They managed to raise more than $500! Thank you to community members who contributed, with a special shoutout to the Lantzville Pub for donating so many bottles!

The Nanaimo Child Development Centre's Infant Development Consultants attended the Neufeld Institute's 20th Anniversary session 'Fresh Insights and Recent Realizations' earlier this month in Vancouver. Gordon Neufeld's work speaks to an attachment-based developmental approach; for example, one of the topics discussed was 'Why science still stutters when it thinks of love.'
