🇨🇦🇺🇦Thank you for your support: together to help Ukraine❤️

During the Easter Bazaar in Nanaimo, we were able to become part of an important and good cause - supporting the initiative to raise funds to send a car to Ukraine and were able to raise $275!

We sincerely thank all guests and participants who joined and made their contribution. Thanks to your support, the fundraising for a car continues, which will be donated to doctors and volunteers working in difficult conditions.

Special thanks to the organizers of the Easter Bazaar Vesna Ukrainian Singers for creating a space where such initiatives find a response and unite people around an important goal.

It is a great honor for us to support this initiative and be part of the joint effort. Every donation is a real help and support to those in need.

🇨🇦This weekend, CANUG was honored to meet with Tamara Kronis and Michael Chong to discuss important issues affecting the Ukrainian community in Canada. 🇺🇦

👏We are very thankful for their time, their openness, and their willingness to listen to the concerns brought forward by our community. The meeting provided an important space to speak about the challenges many Ukrainians continue to face as they rebuild their lives in Canada while carrying the heavy impact of war.

❗️One of the key issues discussed was the situation of Ukrainians who arrived under CUAET and are now facing uncertainty around permanent residency and their ability to remain in Canada in the future.

❗️For many individuals and families, this is not simply an administrative matter, but a question of safety, stability, and hope.

❗️We also emphasized the importance of continued support for the Ukrainian community and the need for ongoing dialogue, advocacy, and practical pathways that help families move forward with greater certainty.

➡️We are grateful to Tamara Kronis and Michael Chong for taking part in this conversation and for hearing the concerns of our community. We believe these discussions are important and necessary as we continue working together in support of Ukrainians in Canada.

🇺🇦 Друзі, це дуже важливо

Цієї суботи у Нанаймо відбудеться круглий стіл щодо майбутнього українців у Канаді.
Будуть присутні Tamara Kronis (федеральный депутат (MP) от округа Nanaimo—Ladysmith) та Michael Chong (федеральний депутат, Shadow Minister of Foreign Affairs).

👉 Це можливість донести нашу ситуацію безпосередньо до федерального рівня.

Ми будемо напряму говорити про головну проблему:
👉 відсутність реального шляху до PR для українців, які вже живуть тут.

Зараз є шанс донести правду:
багато сімей вже понад 3 роки в Канаді, працюють, діти ходять у школи, але майбутнє — невизначене.
Люди не знають, чи зможуть залишитися, чи доведеться знову все втратити і виїхати.

❗ Нам потрібні РЕАЛЬНІ історії

Якщо ви:
• живете в Канаді понад 2 роки (CUAET / work permit)
• і не можете отримати PR

Будь ласка, напишіть коротко (у відповідь або в приват):
• склад сім’ї
• скільки часу в Канаді
• працюєте чи ні (і ким)
• чому не вдається отримати PR (бали, вік, не full-time робота тощо)

👉 Дуже коротко (2–4 рядки)

Це не просто опитування.
Це реальний шанс вплинути на рішення, які визначать — чи буде у нас майбутнє в Канаді.

Будь ласка, не ігноруйте. Ваш кейс може стати вирішальним.

This vehicle will help deliver aid, assist communities in need, and bring hope where it’s needed most. Every dollar you contributed has turned into real, life-changing impact.

February 27, 2026 in Parksville, we came together to honor the memory of those who have lost their lives in the war in Ukraine — both soldiers and innocent civilians.

It was a quiet, touching evening filled with prayer, reflection, and a deep sense of unity.

We are deeply grateful to the Canadian community for your unwavering support, compassion, and solidarity. Your kindness, prayers, donations, and presence mean more than we can express in words.

For centuries, Ukraine has endured aggression, yet we remain resilient. We will continue to stand strong, united in our hope for peace.

This is the amount we collected because if our guests compassion.

We are thankful for every gift.

We are thankful for your words of encouragement and your willingness to take time to come and share our joy and our pain.

The plan is to find our first truck soon and raise some more money to ship it over to Hamburg where a Ukrainian charity can clear it through customs and bring it to the relevent by that time place. We will keep you posted.
