Nanaimo Unique Kids Organization- NUKO Learning Center NUKO's Behaviour Intervention offers one to one support in a fun, safe, and engaging environment.

Support services for kids who are challenged by neuro-developmental disorders and their families, delivered through a Learning Centre supported by NIDES school district 71. All children are supported with one to one support but given opportunities to learn social skills with the many other children. Each program is individualized and written by NUKO's own Board Certified Behaviour Analysts.

Exciting day today putting our last "Caught in the Act" sticker up on the board! The students have been working hard throughout April and May to be caught during acts of kindness around the centre. They had to earn 150 stickers as a group and the reward... A SPECIAL FUN DAY WITH NO SCHOOL WORK! Way to go NUKO, you worked so hard! Stay tuned for the special surprise!

NUKO has been busy watching and looking after turkey eggs. They have finally hatched and we now have 6 baby Poult’s!!! All the kids have loved watching them fight their way out of their eggs. A big thank you to Dayna and Elisa for sharing their turkey’s and their knowledge!

Students at NUKO had a blast during the Winter Olympics, watching and learning about the events. They kept track of medals and had their own mini Olympics, finishing off with a closing ceremony today. The students showed great spirit and ended the week with delicious edible medals. 🏅 🏅 🏅

NUKO is very fortunate to be part of this program. The students are having a lot of fun while learning at the same time.
