Nanaimo Unique Kids Organization- NUKO Learning Center NUKO's Behaviour Intervention offers one to one support in a fun, safe, and engaging environment.

Support services for kids who are challenged by neuro-developmental disorders and their families, delivered through a Learning Centre supported by NIDES school district 71. All children are supported with one to one support but given opportunities to learn social skills with the many other children. Each program is individualized and written by NUKO's own Board Certified Behaviour Analysts.

Some of our intervention students have moved into our therapeutic education program which has opened up space for new clients in our September schedule!

If you have been looking for 1:1 behaviour intervention services for your child we are accepting applications on our website nuko.ca

Our program offers individualized programming tailored to your child's specific needs and interests and overseen by our consultants.

NUKO is looking for caring, enthusiastic, and reliable team members to join our Nanaimo Learning Centre! If you have experience supporting children and youth with neurodivergent needs, or a background in Child & Youth Care, Community Support Work, or Education Assistant work, we'd love to hear from you!
📍 Position Details
✅ 25–30 hours per week (Monday–Friday)
✅ Starting wage: $20.00/hour
✅ Benefits package and pay increase after successful completion of the 3-month probationary period

Exciting day today putting our last "Caught in the Act" sticker up on the board! The students have been working hard throughout April and May to be caught during acts of kindness around the centre. They had to earn 150 stickers as a group and the reward... A SPECIAL FUN DAY WITH NO SCHOOL WORK! Way to go NUKO, you worked so hard! Stay tuned for the special surprise!

NUKO has been busy watching and looking after turkey eggs. They have finally hatched and we now have 6 baby Poult’s!!! All the kids have loved watching them fight their way out of their eggs. A big thank you to Dayna and Elisa for sharing their turkey’s and their knowledge!
