✨ This photo captures just a portion of the local Qurbani we delivered this Eid because of your generosity! 🐑
In recent years, many conversations around Qurbani have focused on finding the lowest possible price. But perhaps we should also be asking: Who around me is in need?
There is immense reward in feeding those suffering across the world 🌎. But there is also a responsibility toward vulnerable families in our own cities...families sending their children to school hungry, struggling to make it through the grocery store checkout, and carrying heavy burdens with them as they walk into our masjids.
The reality is that need exists both globally and locally. There is a need overseas, but sometimes there's a need just down the street. 🏡 Costs differ, but it’s not just about finding the lowest price. It’s about intention and responsibility.
If Allah has blessed us with the means, perhaps part of that blessing is the responsibility to ensure our neighbours are cared for too.
This Eid, your Qurbani helped ensure local families could celebrate with dignity, nourishment, and joy. 🍽️✨
Thank you for remembering the importance Islam places on caring for our neighbours and for recognizing that supporting our community is part of supporting the Ummah. 🤲💙
May Allah accept from all who gave to Sakeenah!
