Meet Grace, one of the passionate educators behind the Acton SNAP youth program!πŸ’š

Every day, Grace works to connect young people in our SNAP neighbourhoods with the natural spaces in their own backyard, giving them the tools and the confidence to care for their community. It's the kind of work that quietly shapes a generation, and we couldn't be more grateful to have her and her team doing it!

Want to help make programs like Grace's possible? The Credit Valley Conservation Foundation's 50/50 draw is a great place to start. It's fun, it's easy, and every ticket makes a real difference for local youth.

Talk about a sweet surprise! ✨πŸͺ

Our Credit Valley Conservation Staff Day at Island Lake was already a special one, but Little Rose Cookie Co. made it truly unforgettable.

This incredible Streetsville gem generously donated beautifully branded cookies for every single member of our team, and let us tell you… they did not disappoint. 😍

From the moment the box opened, it was love at first bite. Perfectly crafted, ridiculously delicious, and made with the kind of care you can actually taste.

We are so grateful for the generosity and heart behind Little Rose Cookie Co. If you haven't already, we can't recommend them enough, whether you're popping by their shop in Streetsville for a treat that'll make your whole week, or connecting with them to make your next event as memorable as ours. πŸ’šπŸͺ

Thank you, Little Rose Cookie Co.! You are the sweetest partners in every sense of the word, and we're so grateful we get to work together! . . . .

Some legacies are measured not in years, but in the lives they touch for generations to come.

On May 29th, Credit Valley Conservation Foundation was honoured to join our colleagues and leadership at Credit Valley Conservation, partners, community leaders, supporters and Jim Tovey’s family to celebrate the opening of the Jim Tovey Lakeview Conservation Area β€” a milestone years in the making and a powerful reminder of what can happen when people come together around a shared purpose.

Throughout the ceremony, we heard heartfelt reflections on Jim's dedication to this shoreline, his love for community, and his belief that everyone deserves access to nature. The stories shared painted a picture of a person whose passion continues to shape this place and inspire those carrying the work forward.

Today, where industry once dominated the waterfront, people can walk the shoreline, connect with nature, and experience a landscape designed to support both community and wildlife.

For us, this opening was more than the celebration of a new conservation area. It was a celebration of lasting impact, and of the many partners, supporters, and champions who helped turn an ambitious idea into reality.

As visitors begin exploring new trails, making memories, and discovering this restored shoreline, Jim Tovey's legacy will continue to live on in every connection forged between people and nature.

Congratulations to everyone who helped bring this extraordinary place to life. The future it was built for starts now. 🌊🌿 . . . .

Partnership Highlight! πŸƒ

Last Friday, the UPS team came to Caledon and planted 275 trees, shrubs, and native plants, and we couldn't be more grateful.

In about 2.5 hours, 35+ UPS staff contributed to something far bigger than a single planting day. Credit Valley Conservation and Caledon are actively working toward a long-term vision: a renewed, revitalized area that will grow in ecological value for decades to come.

At Credit Valley Conservation Foundation, partnerships like this one are at the core of what makes our mission possible. UPS has been a committed partner of both CVCF and Credit Valley Conservation for over a decade, and days like Friday are a reminder of why that relationship means so much to us.

Genuine corporate stewardship isn't just about financial support. It's about showing up. And the UPS team absolutely did. Thank you to every volunteer who spent their Friday with us. The Credit River Watershed is healthier for it, and so are we. . . . .

🌿 A bold vision, finally realized.

On May 30th, what was once an industrial shoreline becomes something extraordinary β€” a resilient, accessible, and vibrant waterfront for everyone.
The Jim Tovey Lakeview Conservation Area is officially opening, and we at the CVC Foundation couldn't be more proud to celebrate this milestone alongside all partners involved!

This project is proof of what long-term thinking, collaboration, and a commitment to nature can achieve. It honours the legacy of Jim Tovey, and stands as a reminder that access to nature isn't optional β€” it's essential.

A heartfelt congratulations to the Credit Valley Conservation Board of Directors, leadership team, and every staff member who brought this vision to life.

Special thanks to our CVCF partner, , who helped make this vision come to life!

This is just the beginning. Come explore it for yourself on May 20th! . . . . .

To our CVCF community... The Critters are waiting!

We've only got 5 days left, and we've got 50% to go! And you can still get 20% off your CVC Parks Pass when you donate!

We're SO CLOSE to our $10,000 goal for the Adopt a Credit Critter campaign, and we are so incredibly grateful to everyone who has donated so far, but we need your help to finish strong!

River otters, salamanders, bumble bees, trout, and butterflies are counting on us. Every gift makes a lasting impact for them and the watershed for years to come.

Adopt your Credit Critter, and let's bring this home together!πŸ¦¦πŸ’š
