Jeff began volunteering as a Food Bank 2 Home driver back in 2020, around the time the program was first launched. Since then, he has volunteered almost 670 hours!

Every Monday evening, Jeff picks up orders from our warehouse and delivers them directly to the doorsteps of homebound folks across Mississauga who are unable to access a food program in their neighbourhood.

Thank you, Jeff, for generously giving so much of your time and mileage to ensure your homebound neighbours have the nutritious food they need! 🚗❤️

A huge thank you to MIZAN Zakat (Muslims Implementing Zakat Associated Network) for granting us $10,000 to purchase halal food! This grant is helping us meet the needs of our Muslim neighbours to ensure they can access the food that they need. 🍗🍅🥬

Did you know that halal food requests account for 32% of all visits across our network of 60+ food programs in Mississauga? Receiving culturally appropriate foods is about more than sustenance, it’s about dignity and respect. Thanks to our purchasing power and sourcing food from across the supply chain, we can purchase food in bulk and at prices lower than retail. Thank you MIZAN for making this possible! 💚

We were welcomed back to Credit Valley Golf & Country Club last Tuesday for the Liz Ferrier Memorial Pro Am Charity Golf Tournament! It was a beautiful, sunny day full of smiles and laughter as golfers attempted the food bank-themed chip-in challenge and took a photo-op break with aspiring golfer Bowlina! 🏌️⛳️

Insightful conversations were had about the sustained food insecurity emergency that Mississauga is facing, and we are so grateful for their support in providing healthy food to neighbours in need across the city.

For the second year in a row, the members and friends of Credit Valley Golf Club are raising funds for Food Banks Mississauga! ⛳️🏌️‍♀️

This year, the funds raised will go towards supporting our Food Bank 2 Home Delivery Program and to purchase food to ‘fill the truck’ that they helped us secure last year. 🚚🍓🥦🥫

28 years ago, two girls from Clarkson hosted a “Spice Girls/Backstreet Boys impersonation contest” to raise donations for Foodpath (Food Banks Mississauga) and an animal shelter in Mississauga. 🎶🎤
