Last chance to get our native plants!!! There are still some remaining from our Fall Plant Sale, waiting for their new homes. Open both days this weekend, noon until 5 pm, located at 1295 Mineola Gardens, Mississauga.

I have several of the following sun-loving, drought- and salt-tolerant plants, varying from larger pots @ $7.50 each to 12-oz cups @ $3.50 each. All are tolerant of clay or sandy soils and have a wide tolerance for different growing conditions, but they all appreciate a sunny spot in your garden: • nodding onion - short, edible
•evening primrose - short- many! easy care, really good for a cottage or country property
• lanceleaf coreopsis - short- just one left but there's three plants in the pot
• virgin's bower (a vine) - 3 trays of these! They are a great cover for a long chain link fence - know anyone who could use them?
• hoary vervain - mid height
• yellow prairie grass - tall
• prairie cinquefoil - short, dainty cream coloured buttercup-shaped flower, nice border species, beautiful foliage when not in flower
ª Virginia mountain mint - short stays put unlike other mints, makes delicious tea, repels furry nibblers!
• oxeye sunflower - tall
• heath aster - mid height
and one or two plants of a few more species.

❀✺ Join us this Fall as head outside to learn about collecting and saving native flower seeds. Our first seed collecting excursion is scheduled for October 3rd and will be lots of fun!

Mark your calendars! For one day only on September 19th, we are clearing out our stock for the season. We have wildflowers, grasses, and a few species of trees, as well as ostrich ferns. Single-pot plants are $3.50, and pots with multiples will be priced individually. Come on out and enjoy the end of this season with us!
