Volunteers - The Backbone of Our Organization…

Today, our Halal Food Bank family came together for a special volunteer lunch — bringing together volunteers from Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, Pakistan, India, Canada & beyond❤️

These are some of the volunteers who volunteer with us on a regular basis, giving their time and helping us almost every week.

We are blessed to have volunteers from so many different backgrounds, united by one thing: the desire to serve and give back to our community as charity and volunteering have no boundaries.

Today was also our small way of saying thanks to two incredible volunteers, Asimah Malik and Naila Khurram, who have been with us since the very beginning. From food packaging and grocery shopping to distributing flyers around the city and becoming our voice at different gatherings and events — you name it, they have helped us with it. Rain or shine, whenever we needed them, they were always there to help and support us. They have given us far more than we can put into words, and we are truly grateful for their countless hours & dedication towards Halal Food Bank.

We would also like to give heartfelt thanks to Hakka Chinese Kitchen for their tremendous support in serving a delicious hot lunch for our volunteers. They always go above and beyond to customize their menu to meet our needs. We are truly proud to have businesses like theirs standing behind our community.

Thank you everyone for joining us and missed those who couldn’t make it.
