I know there’s still a few days left of the school year but the YMCA and the Movie Mill are partnering to help us, help you, get ready for the 2026/27 school year!

The YMCA and Movie Mill have partnered to help local students start the school year feeling confident and prepared.

From now until August 12, you can participate by donating new, unopened school supplies to support the Ready, Set, Go! School Fair. As a thank-you for your generosity, you will receive:

• A Buy One Get One (BOGO) YMCA day pass

OR

• A Buy One Get One (BOGO) Movie Mill movie pass

Every donation contributes to providing local children with the necessary supplies for a successful school year.

This offer is available every Wednesday and is limited to one BOGO offer per day. Please note that the YMCA offer is valid for individual day passes only, and the BOGO passes must be used on the same day they are received.

Calling All Hope Builders!

When you sign up to become a recurring monthly donor from now until June 30th with $35 PER MONTH or more, your name will be entered into a draw for a 30" Black Stone Grill.

When you decide to give a recurring donation. It not only helps the single mother working 2 jobs to provide or the struggling student drowning in student loan debt. It creates stability that our team at MyCityCare requires to ensure the support is there when it's needed.

Maybe you see the struggle of your neighbors and don't know what you can do to help. When MANY of us give a small amount regularly, it creates an ecosystem built around HOPE rather than fear and when our community feels hope, we can expect a more successful future.

Mothering doesn’t always look like the card aisle suggests.

It looks like the auntie who picks up the school calls. The grandma raising grandkids. The foster mom on her fourth placement this year. The friend who shows up with a casserole.

Today we celebrate every kind of love that holds a family, a child, or a community together. That’s what mothering really is.

Happy birthday to our incredible Executive Director, Jen Tribble!

Jen leads MyCityCare with a heart for people, making sure families in our community can access food, clothing, and other basic needs with dignity and hope. From emergency support to long-term care, her vision helps create programs that walk alongside people, not just get them through a moment.

Because of Jen’s leadership, MyCityCare continues to grow creative initiatives that resource our city in practical, life-changing ways, supporting everything from basic needs to housing and community connection. Today we celebrate not just her birthday, but the way she consistently shows up for our neighbours, volunteers, and partners.

The amount of toys Clarkes tire collected was amazing! We were overwhelmed with gratitude!

Well Lethbridge, we dit it!!! Thank you so much to all of the local businesses, friends and customers of Clarke’s Tire that donated such a crazy amount of toys for Shop of Wonders. We’re so blessed and grateful to know all of you! God bless you all!
