Interfaith Food Bank Society of Lethbridge We are a provincially registered non-profit society, and nationally registered charitable organization.

In addition to providing emergency food services, we have the responsibility of providing a safe, clean environment in which we conduct our business. We cater to those in a variety of situations, ranging from single-parenthood, to seniors on fixed incomes, to the under or unemployed, or to those with other social or economic barriers. We have been providing emergency food services to citizens of Lethbridge and area since 1989. Since then, we have grown exponentially as the community recognizes, assesses and attempts to satisfy the needs of those in crisis. Explore our website at www.interfaithfoodbank.ca or contact us at [email protected] to find out more about our programs and services, how you can help, and other information. We act as a bridge between a community of donors and those who are in need through:

- Distribution of monthly food hampers, daily food supplements, and clothing vouchers

- Referrals to other community and/or government agencies to connect individuals and families with resources available within our community

- Offering The Interfaith Chinook Country Kitchen – through partnerships with Chinook Health and Family Centre, we facilitate cooking classes that teach healthy eating on limited budgets.

🚫Myth:
Charities spend most of your donation on overhead costs, leaving little to support their mission.
✅Fact:
At Interfaith Food Bank, 90 cents of every dollar donated goes directly toward our mission, while the remaining 10 cents supports essential administrative, operational, and fundraising costs that make our work possible.
Last year, your generosity helped us share more than 1.4 million pounds of food with over 20,000 community members. Due to our financial transparency and demonstrated impact per dollar donated, Charity Intelligence has recognized Interfaith Food Bank as a 5-Star Top 100 Rated Charity in Canada for the fourth consecutive year.
Thank you for trusting us with your generosity and helping make a difference in our community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Beyond the Numbers: Voices of Food Insecurity.

On Friday, we gathered in the Co-op Community Kitchen to hear real stories, explore local data, and talk about what meaningful change looks like in Lethbridge. Your openness and presence made this conversation matter.

Food insecurity is more than not having enough food, and together we’re understanding it better.

Real People. Real Stories. Real Change.

It’s time for !
Today we shine the on our incredible Board of Directors. The Board of Directors function in a governance role providing oversight to Interfaith Food Bank which is a non-profit organization committed to recognizing the human dignity of those in need that provides food and access to services and resources generated from within our community. In partnership with the community, Interfaith Food Bank Society of Lethbridge is a leader in alleviating hunger and its root causes.
Our Executive Director, Dannielle Mcintyre, adds “Our Board is comprised of community members of diverse backgrounds who step up to lead this incredible organization – through strategy, policy, ethics, accountability and passion. As a governance board, they determine the strategic direction for our organization, but they are also well informed an engaged in our operations, participating not only at the board table, but also on the floor at the food bank and with community engagement activities. We are exceptionally lucky to have a highly skilled, cohesive and well functioning Board of Directors – not every Executive Director I know can say that, and I’m truly grateful.”
