New before and after school care spaces are opening for families in Coalhurst for September 2026.

Serving Grades Kā€“5 through Palliser School Division, YMCA of Lethbridge school-age care offers a safe, supportive place for children to start and end their school day. Programs include before-school care, after-school care, and combined full-day coverage during school closure and PD days.

Location: 510 51 Ave, Coalhurst, AB
Hours of operation: 6:45 amā€“6:00 pm (program hours vary within the school day schedule)

With spaces available across Father Leonard Van Tighem and Coalhurst Elementary programs, this expansion supports more families with reliable care close to school.

YMCA of Lethbridge Out-of-School Care is expanding to support families with reliable care before and after the school day.

Location: Father Leonard Van Tighem School (transitioning to St. Kateriā€™s Elementary School when the new school opens in January)
School Division: Holy Spirit Catholic School Division

Hours of Operation
6:45 amā€“6:00 pm (before and after school care, plus coverage on PD and school closure days)

Who knew the Association Services team had so many bath bomb experts?
We spent the day mixing, molding, and creating our own bath bombs from start to finish. There were plenty of laughs, a little friendly competition, and lots of creativity along the way.
