As wildfires continue to impact communities across our region, we are thinking of everyone whose lives have been disrupted, especially those who have been forced to leave their homes and are facing so much uncertainty.

To the firefighters and emergency personnel working around the clock, thank you for your tireless efforts to protect our communities. We are also deeply grateful to the local organizations, volunteers, businesses and neighbours stepping in to support those who have been displaced.

Times like these call on all of us to be a little more patient, a little more generous and more attentive to the people around us. Check in, offer help where you can, and most importantly, lead with kindness.

In difficult moments, the way we show up for one another matters more than ever. ✨️🤍

Turning a milestone into a gift for the community. ❤️

When Peter Aylen celebrated his 80th birthday, he and his wife Moira Benedetti chose to mark the occasion by giving back. In lieu of gifts, they invited friends and family to make donations to the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation in support of priority needs for the Teck Emergency Department. Together with the generosity of their guests and an additional contribution from Peter and Moira, an incredible $3,550 was raised to help fund vital equipment that will support patients who rely on emergency care.

Thank you, Peter, Moira, and everyone who contributed for making this milestone celebration one that will have a lasting impact on the health and well-being of our community!

✨️She is upbeat, friendly and an absolute pleasure to work with – her presence makes even the most hectic day feel manageable.
