Strategic Planning Community Survey

Purpose:
The Creignish Recreation Centre (CRC) Board of Directors is seeking community input to help guide and prioritize future initiatives and opportunities for residents of Creignish and surrounding areas. Building on the strong foundation of our Centre, it is important to consider the diverse perspectives, strengths, and needs of our community as we plan for the future.

This anonymous survey is the first step in a broader community engagement process. Your feedback will help shape a focused and strategic action plan with goals that reflect and support our community.

Return Date and Process:
Completed surveys may be dropped off at the CRC or mailed to: Creignish Recreation Centre, PO Box 9667, Port Hastings, NS, B9A 3R7, or completed electronically, by June 1, 2026.

Next Steps:
Survey results will be summarized and shared at a community consultation session in June. Follow our page (Creignish Recreation Centre) for the community consultation date. The feedback gathered will inform the development of clear, actionable strategies, along with defined responsibilities and timelines to support implementation.

It's coming up to concert season again. Mark your calendars! We will sing an all Canadian program, including a few Cape Breton favorites.

Wondering about Planting Day?

We’re going ahead at 11:00 on Saturday but with a slightly modified plan. We are happily accepting donations of transplants and seeds but only the seeds will be going in the ground on Saturday (Creignish wind conditions permitting). We will diligently look after the transplants and find a home for them in the Community Garden on a warmer day. Come on down, stick some seeds in the ground with us or wave at us and shout out some words of encouragement from your toasty vehicle.

We are also accepting divided plants from your shady gardens.
