June is also National Indigenous History Month, a time to honour, learn from, and reflect on the histories, cultures, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples across Canada.
We acknowledge that Indigenous women, families, and communities have not always experienced safety, dignity, or fairness within their communities, healthcare and child welfare systems. The impacts of this are real and ongoing.
We believe every woman deserves access to compassionate, informed care and the right to make empowered decisions about her pregnancy and her child. We also recognize the vital role of Indigenous fathers and men, whose voices and presence are essential in supporting strong families and communities.
Beginnings works in collaboration with local Bands and Indigenous Services offering our services to the community with a focus on respect, partnership, and culturally informed care.
We are committed to listening, learning, and walking forward with humility, honouring the strength, resilience, and wisdom within Indigenous communities.
