๐Ÿ’กLearn how to protect our lakes and rivers with simple Clean, Drain, Dry steps! In this video, our Invasive Species Technicians Ben & Bryson demonstrate how to use the boat rinse station at Fifty Point Conservation Area properly.

๐ŸšคAquatic invasive species can hitch a ride on boats and gear, threatening ecosystems, recreation, and water infrastructure. Help stop the spread and keep our waterways healthy for future generations.

Wildlife is busy this time of year, so slow down and keep your eyes open while exploring HCA conservation areas. You never know what you might discover around the next bend in the trail.

Remember to admire wildlife from a distance and help keep our natural spaces safe for the animals that call them home.

Many hands and a lot of effort are helping transform Fifty Point!

More than 30 volunteers recently came together to plant 75 trees as part of a multi-stage restoration plan for the area. These new trees will help enhance habitat, improve biodiversity, and support a healthier landscape for years to come.

Swipe through to see the before and current photos and the incredible progress already taking shape. Thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves and helped make a difference!

Recently, students from the Hamilton Homeschool Network joined HCA staff for a BioBlitz, exploring local trails and documenting the plants and animals they discovered through our Nature Counts 3 project.

Using iNaturalist, their observations contribute to a growing community science effort that helps us better understand and protect the biodiversity found throughout our watershed. Along the way, they also helped keep our trails clean by collecting litter and caring for the spaces they explored.

Thank you to these enthusiastic young naturalists for making a positive impact on both nature and our community.
