Our next BOTTLE DRIVE is coming up soon! 💙💛

This bottle drive is in support of the Hamilton Skating Club ⛸️ Clear out those empties and help support local skaters while you do it.

Bring your wine bottles, beer bottles, beer cans, seltzer cans, coolers, and more, we will take them all. No sorting required, and you do not even need to get out of your car. Just drive up, pop the trunk, and our volunteers will unload everything for you.

All funds raised will go directly to the Hamilton Skating Club, helping support their skaters as a whole and the important programs, training, and opportunities that help young athletes grow both on and off the ice.

It has been a fun and inspiring couple of weeks at Rotary!

We welcomed Joanne Serkeyn, our incoming District Governor, who shared updates on her mission and vision for the district in the year ahead. Her message was inspiring and a great reminder of the impact Rotary can have when we work together with purpose.

We also had a visit from Jacqui Templeton Muir, President and Director of the Ancaster Music Society, and a phenomenal artist in her own right, who shared the important role music plays in bringing people together.

The Ancaster Music Society celebrates the power of music in our community, offering everything from captivating classical performances to inspiring crossover concerts featuring world-class artists right here in Ancaster. It is a beautiful invitation to experience unforgettable music, connect with fellow music lovers, and be part of a vibrant musical journey close to home. Learn more at ancastermusic.org.

And soon, we will be saying goodbye to Nini, our exchange student. What a wonderful time we have had with Nini here. We have loved helping her experience a true taste of Canada, she experienced so many new things and we know she will return home to Taiwan enriched by her time, friendships, and adventures here.

Come and join us! We meet bright and early every Thursday morning at 7:15 AM. Come see how you can be part of making a difference in our community and beyond.

This year, Olivia had the opportunity to take part in Rotary’s Adventure in Citizenship program in Ottawa, joining students 16-18 years old from across Canada for four days of tours, speakers, discussions, and events designed to deepen their understanding of Canadian citizenship.

Through visits to Parliament and important Canadian institutions, conversations about democracy and leadership, meetings with political leaders and senior officials, and the chance to connect with peers from across the country, students gain a greater appreciation for both the diversity of Canada and the responsibilities of citizenship.

A special highlight was having our own Rotary Club member and Member of Parliament, Dan Muys, meet up with Olivia during her visit to Parliament.

We’re so proud to support experiences like this for young leaders in our community — and perhaps even future Rotarians. 🙂

Last Thursday morning we started the day with connection, curiosity, and a fascinating presentation from Dr. Gwyn E. Campbell, Neurolinguistic Programming Master Practitioner and Certified Clinical Hypnotist.

Gwyn spoke about the “magic” of hypnosis, not the stage-show version many of us imagine, but the clinical practice of working with the unconscious mind. She helped clear up common myths, reminding us that hypnosis is not mind control, and through a simple visualization, showed just how connected our thoughts, senses, and bodies can be.

She shared how hypnosis and trance-like states can support personal change, problem-solving, and well-being, while reminding us that our own values and moral compass remain firmly in place. The mind may be mysterious, but we are not powerless within it

A big thank you for such an insightful and thought-provoking presentation.

And, in true Rotary fashion, there was plenty of playful energy in the room — including a few proud Habs fans who made sure their presence was known.

Come and join us! We meet bright and early every Thursday morning at 7:15 AM. Come see how you can be part of making a difference in our community and beyond.
