The Ontario Sailing staff team met in Kingston on October 7 & 8 for two very productive days, including a deep dive into and a review of our current strategic plan. We are extremely grateful to GM Matt for accommodating us and to the rest of the team at Kingston Yacht Club for their service and care (especially the delicious lunch dishes!).
We'd also like to thank staff from Sail Canada for joining us for an afternoon of discussion, which was a crucial step in our strategic planning review process!

Nominations are open! 🏆
The Regatta of the Year award is presented to an Ontario Sailing Member Organization that ran a regatta of exceptional quality during the past year. The selection criteria include:
-Race management (must be certified Race Officer as PRO, Level 2),
-Pre-regatta information package, i.e. Notice of Race
-Reception, registration, billeting, hosting, food & refreshment
-Value for registration fee
-Overall component of fun and fellowship that may include entertainment or special events.
-A role model to others in the sailing community.

The Fogh Marine Youth Sailor of the Year award is presented to an athlete who has achieved results at least at the Provincial and National level (could be International but not necessary) and has demonstrated a high level of skill and expertise in their discipline. The athlete must be 18 years or younger as of December 31st in the year ending.
