🌑 We are in Nipniku’s, the Mi’kmaw Trees Fully Leafed Moon (nib-nee-goos) when buds unfurl into full canopy and the forest reaches its peak. Many plants are alive around us right now, each carrying its unique medicines. 3 to celebrate and highlight this week. Sweet fern for inflammation and purification, a plant supporting resilience. Birch, marking new beginnings renewal, and for pain relief. Wild rose, now blooming across Mi’kma’ki, calming the nervous system and nourishing the heart. Step outside. Start the lunar cycle cleansed and refreshed. Join these allies, breathe with them this week 6-9pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.🌿🌳🌹

We’re launching our Ambassador Program from June 16 - July 23rd and we’d love for you to be part of it. 🌿

Commit 3 hours and receive 50% off drop-in session. Give 6 hours and get 50% off a monthly pass. Bank hours = more perks and access. Bring a friend who’s never been and they get 50% off their first drop-in too.

There are lots of ways to get involved from hosting, cleaning, beautifying the space, promoting in your networks, social media, research support, or bringing your skills as a practitioner, educator, or facilitator.
On-site or off-site. Whatever calls to you.

This summer we’re raising $20,000 to support our move to a new home, and keep this work alive. Every hour you contribute moves us closer.

DM , email [email protected] to get involved. 💦Get cool with summer heat 🔥

We are now using a sliding scale for our sessions because we believe that warmth, rest, nature’s elements, and human connection this space offers should not be a privilege.

We know times are tight for many people right now. The non-profit sector is under real pressure, and so are the communities we serve. We are asking you to be honest about where you stand, and to trust that others will do the same.

Here’s a simple guide:
Supported (root)  is for those without extended health benefits, without a vehicle, on a low or fixed income. Students, seniors, people who are un- or underemployed. If you can’t afford regular massage, therapy, or acupuncture, this rate is for you.

Sustaining (branch) is for those who are financially stable and meeting their needs comfortably.

Contributing (canopy) is for those who eat at restaurants regularly, take vacations, and have disposable income. Choosing the higher price means someone else gets to choose the lower price. That’s the whole idea.

Please share and tell your friends, family, work, community, anyone you think could be interested and benefit! If communications and spreading the word brings you joy, making posters, putting up posters, being on social media, website updates, outreach, any creative ideas to let people know we exist —we’d be eternally grateful. We are in process of shaping an ambassador program in exchange for access.

If money is a barrier right now, volunteering in several areas, is always a meaningful and equally valued way to be part of what we’re building here. Thank you for taking care of each other.

What happens in the sauna doesn’t stay in the sauna. 🌿
It comes home with you. In various ways, from your body, mind, heart. In your sense of being and belonging.

Even if temporary- a temporary sense of community and belonging is a touch point that matters. Like a drop of water in the ocean. It still counts, even if it’s not a big wave 🌊 Much of this is invisible quiet work that is harder to quantify and measure. But we will be doing so in the coming months. Stay tuned for more and if you’d like to be part of our research project - get in touch!

Here are some experiences shared:

“My sense of belonging is heightened in the community sauna. I feel much more connected to a sense of community.”

“The belonging and safety of this community sauna experience was transformative. I felt completely comfortable and supported — empowering me to connect with my bodymind in a profound way that isn’t always accessible to me.”

“I’d be physically healthier and in less pain, less stressed, struggle less with mental health — it makes me feel incredibly alive.”

“I met people of different generations and backgrounds as well as new neighbours.”

We are here in the north End, beside the Commons, in Mi’kma’ki. 🔥
