Good morning everyone,

We will be holding our final Grande Prairie Regional Safety Committee meeting, and I would like to invite everyone to attend.

**By everyone I mean anyone who has ever attended a safety group meeting in GP in the past .. whether it was a previous version of this group, the CSSE or another group. We would like to know if there is interest in creating a new group out of the ashes of the GPRSC.**

We will not have a formal agenda for this meeting. Instead, this will be an opportunity to come together one last time, reflect on the work of the committee, share any final thoughts or feedback, and recognize everyone’s contributions over the years.

Meeting Details:
Date: September 8, 2026
Time: 11:30-1:00 PM
Location: HSE Integrated 11101 87 Ave #101

If you plan to attend, please RSVP to [email protected] by Sept 4.

Zoom:

Thank you to everyone who has participated in the Regional Safety Committee and contributed your time, feedback, and ideas. Your involvement has been greatly appreciated, and we look forward to seeing everyone at our final meeting.
Have a great day,

This is an topic for your safety meeting on Monday morning and a reminder item for the rest of the week. It is easy for those of us who don't have children or grandchildren in school to forget that school 'goes back in' next week.

Many people go 'out for lunch' on Fridays to celebrate that the weekend is almost here. If you are considering going out, please consider going here. It is a small place that doesn't have a lot of indoor seating but the food is good and they could really use our support right now. 101 10014 99 Street Grande Prairie, AB

A little unexpected behind-the-scenes update from Ruby’s ❤️

Our front display cooler decided to quit on us this week, so things will look a little different when you stop in. We’re in the process of dismantling the old cooler and replacing it over the next couple of days, but we are absolutely OPEN and ready to serve you!

We’re still making plenty of the scratch-made food you know and love, including:

• Fresh sandwiches, wraps and hearty salads
• Charcuterie in 3 convenient grab-and-go sizes
• Snacks, appetizers, treats and freshly made lunch options
•Take & Heat meals for easy dinners

Today’s soup is Creamy Turkey Vegetable with Long Grain & Wild Rice (gluten friendly).

This cooler replacement was a significant and unexpected expense during an already challenging time for our small business. If you’ve been thinking about stopping in, stocking your freezer, grabbing lunch or treating yourself to your Ruby’s favourites, we would truly appreciate your support. Every purchase helps us keep our team working, our kitchen cooking and the lights on at our locally owned small business.

We’re OPEN until 5 pm to serve you!

Need last-minute charcuterie or lunch? Reach out and we’ll do our best to hook you up.

Thank you for continuing to show up for Ruby’s. We genuinely need and appreciate you. ❤️

'Every chair tells a story.
A story of resilience.
A story of hope
A story of someone who found support when they needed it most.

As we prepare for the 16th Annual Chair Extraordinaire, we are looking for sponsors who want to help create more of those stories in our community.

Your sponsorship helps support mental health promotion, su***de prevention, education, and programs that create connection and hope for individuals and families across our region.

When you sponsor Chair Extraordinaire, you are doing more than supporting an event. You are helping create a community where people know they are not alone.

Wondering what to have for lunch today?

Burgers to Beat MS Day is almost here! Consider this your official reminder to make a burger stop part of your plans tomorrow. 😉 Why? Because $2 from every A&W Canada Teen Burger™ sold across the country tomorrow will support Canadians affected by MS.

Here’s how you can grab your Teen Burger™:

🍽️ Dine in at your local A&W

🚗 Hit the drive-thru

📱 Order through the A&W, Uber Eats, DoorDash, or SkipTheDishes app

You can also round up your bill, donate your change at the till, add a donation to your mobile order, or donate online at burgerstobeatms.ca. Add a little extra to do a lot of good.

Funds raised help fuel critical research and support programs for the over 90,000 Canadians living with MS and their families. Join the fight to beat MS and visit your local A&W tomorrow for lunch or dinner.

'The Men's Shed Grande Prairie

We're 44% of the way there! 💙
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, donors, and community supporters, we've raised $22,000 toward our $50,000 Men's Shed 🔨Get Your Shed Together🔨 campaign goal.
Every contribution brings us one step closer, and we are truly grateful for the support we've received.

A Men's Shed is more than just a building. It's a welcoming space where men can connect, share skills, build friendships, find purpose and support one another through life's ups and downs. We still have $28,000 to raise and are looking for additional sponsors to help make this vision a reality.

If your business or organization is interested in rolling up their sleeves on men's mental health and community connection, we'd love to connect with you. 💙
Visit www.mensshedgp.org/mensshedfundraiser to become a community partner!🔩

Men’s Shed Grande Prairie is raising $50,000 to continue providing a welcoming, no-pressure space where men can connect, build, talk, and support one another.
