Unfortunately the skate park is leaving Alexander Forbes Outdoor Rink due to vandalism.

Fortunately we wanted to find some local artists to help us with some vinyl wraps for garbage bins and utility boxes.

Take a look and “like” your favourite, or share a photo of other artwork you think would look good in the neighbourhood.

If the artists want to come forward and accept responsibility for their actions, they are welcome to come help clean the equipment and work with us on an appropriate and valued display of their art.

Edit - As a gentle reminder, comments that fall outside of our approved comment guide will be deleted or hidden. This includes personal attacks or insults.

Did you know bug spray and spray sunscreen remove spray paint?

Neither did we! But it worked like a charm!

We hope the students and staff at Alexander Forbes School have a great start to the year with the removal of negative images and sentiments.

Both “before” pictures had been tested for efficiency before taking a photo. Blue bin was with bug spray, yellow was with sunscreen. Did as much as we could but ran out before it was complete.

We would be so grateful for any donations of bug spray or graffiti removal spray to finish the job. ❤️ Please send us a message if you are able to help.

We are so appreciative of St Paul’s United Church and their donation of equipment and balls from their annual yard sale.

We are planning to leave some pucks with the sticks in the winter, but for now there are some balls that can be used for street hockey.

Thank you so much for your support and generosity, it is very very appreciated.

*Note*
The basket from the soccer field behind St. Patrick School and Dave Barr ball diamonds has been moved to the Alexander Forbes Rink to accommodate this new equipment lending option. ❤️

THANK YOU Fraction Energy Services for sponsoring our ball basket refills!

While some things have gone missing - children taking them home to play with in fear of it being gone the next time they come is still within the intention of the project - we have also found that the balls have had SIGNIFICANT use and have worn out incredibly quickly.

We appreciate your investment in free outdoor recreation in our community. 🏀⚽️⚽️🏈🏐

Sharing for a neighbourhood school, please connect with St. Patrick Family Community to help support their fundraising for new lower elementary basketball hoops in our neighbourhood. 🏀

It will never be easier to support our school and community with the donation of your refundable bottles and cans!

Bags or boxes of empty bottles/cans be dropped in the charity bin at Recycle Plus Bottle Depot I & II, the Aquatera EcoCentre, the Aquatera Landfill or in your curbside recycling.

All proceeds from your donations will go directly to the purchase and installation of lower elementary basketball hoops and buddy benches at St. Patrick Catholic School.

Please feel free to also send us a message for a volunteer to pick up your donations.
