The GABE Shop is a boutique thrift store run by volunteers and donations from the community. The GABE Shop is the Gabriola Auxiliary Business Enterprise.

Other programs are the Meals on Wheels and Drivers to Doctors. GABE Shop is the main source of income for the Auxiliary whose mandate it is to support Gabriola Island health initiatives through a grant program opened to other Not for Profit Societies such as: Home Hospice Program. PHC, GAC, The Hope Centre,and the Gabriola Health Foundation for equipment for the urgent care unit at the Gabriola Medical Clinic on Gabriola Island. GABE stands for Gabriola Auxiliary Business Enterprise and is part of The Gabriola Auxiliary for Island Health Care Society. The Auxiliary is always looking for new volunteers, so drop by The GABE Shop and let us know you're interested. You never know what you might find on an excursion to The GABE Shop! From crystal to telescopes, suits to golf shoes, artwork to bread makers. It is a treasure hunter's dream! We accept donations anytime during opening hours. Gently worn clothing, jewellery and shoes, household items, small appliances, antiques, artwork, books and more. We cannot accept children's car seats, toys with small parts, electronics and a few other items. When in doubt, give the store a call and one of our amazing volunteers will let you know if we can take your donation.

Make a stop at The GABE Shop this rainy Saturday - our mens and ladies sweaters and coats are well stocked (including a Burberry jacket!), our fundraising FIREWOOD CARRIERS are on SALE for only $20 (usually $25), and we have lots of Halloween costume options for teens and adults, plus a lone very fancy white pretty princess or zombie bride dress for an 8-11 year old

THE END IS HERE...ice cream season, that is.
We are closing out the season with BUY 1 GET 1 free today and tomorrow (Oct 9 & 10)

Once it's gone, its gone, and after the 10th we are closed until next season. Thank you all for your support this year and every year - every cone sold helps fund healthcare community services here on Gabriola.

Company coming? 50% off ticketed price on everything you need for your family dinner, from dishes to drinks. A b**r glass for Uncle Bob. A dish for your famous cabbage rolls. Fancy tea with grandma. That means that even some of our already marked down w**e glasses are now only 25 cents each! Sale ends Saturday Oct 10 (which is also your very last day for ice cream!!)

Our freezers need to take a winter nap but there's a tiny problem: they still have ice cream in them! We can't eat it all ourselves (although we kind of wish we could), which means its up to you to perform this public service.
TODAY AND TOMORROW - Buy 1 cone, get the second for half price. If you have tickets already to use up, you can come into the shop and buy a second one for the half price, or 2 tickets get you 3 whole cones (just come in and see us for the extra ticket please).
Half price tickets must be redeemed same day. You cannot buy 42 tickets for next season. We see you, we respect the hustle, but no. Our freezers need to be empty for winter so that means the ice cream needs to live in your stomach, not your junk drawer.
Our cart is open noon till 4pm, October 2 and 3.

School is back and ice cream is still being scooped! Be sure to get your last few ice cream cones in for the year before we sell out. The GABE Shop ice cream cart is open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays noon-4pm until Thanksgiving weekend OR when we sell out of ice cream, whatever comes first!
