PHC Gabriola - People for a Healthy Community PHC is a community based, not for profit, organization serving Gabriola Island. Welcome to People for a Healthy Community (PHC)!

We support individuals and families during vulnerable times in their lives while strengthening community resilience. We are a community based, not for profit, organization serving Gabriola Island. Vulnerability can occur at any stage of life, in an acute or chronic way. Our programs focus on three key social determinants of health:

- Reducing Social Isolation

Looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? We're seeking dedicated volunteers to support our Food Bank programs!

💚 Volunteer Duties Include:�✅ Assisting program participants�✅ Restocking shelves�✅ Recovering and sorting food donations�✅ General cleanup and organization�✅ Helping unload deliveries from our food truck (some lifting required)

Schedule:�Monday – Friday�2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Pick one day or everyday! If you are a teen looking for somewhere to volunteer this summer please contact us.

Join us for friendly, hands-on tech help at the Rollo Seniors Centre (685 North Rd), hosted by Literacy Central Vancouver Island (LCVI).

Each session includes an informative presentation plus 1‑on‑1 support from LCVI’s tech‑savvy volunteers — all tailored to the topic of the day. Bring your own device (or let us know if you need one). Refreshments provided!
