Todo Kai This page is dedicated to the furtherance of the martial art: Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu Iaido in Nanaimo and the surrounding communities.

Iaido is the practice of drawing and cutting with the Japanese sword in accordance with a historical tradition passed in an unbroken teacher student relationship for over four hundred years. Iaido is a non contact, non competitive martial art that is suitable for all people age sixteen and over. The practice of Iaido is dedicated to the physical and mental development of our students through the practice of techniques and the application of various "waza", describing the use of the sword in accordance with our school traditions. While Iaido is a martial art dedicated to the practice of the sword, the principles and development as a result of Iaido practice also have long reaching benefit over life outside the dojo as well.
