Please read about our little Reba who was a cat that came from the Norton colony. Here is the information from our foster.

Reba is a young dilute torti female that came from the large colony in Norton (or is it New Horton?)...She came into foster as feral/shy and remains quite shy with people. She loves other cats (after she's been with them for a bit) and tolerates dogs. She is currently fed in a large kennel (where the other cats can't eat her food) and she has a lovely trill to let us know she is hungry. She can be touched, preferably on her terms and only for as long as she is comfortable. She likes treats and may come along quicker if treats are used while being petted. Potential adopters must be prepared to exercise patience and consistency to help her along. It will take time for her to become comfortable in new surroundings, but it will happen.

We have lots going on in the fundraising realm, adoptions and rescues. We were thinking that it has been awhile since we got our followers to show us your fur friends. We love to have some follow up to see how everyone is doing. Have fun and enjoy your Wednesday!!

It's the time of year when we reach out to our many supportive friends looking for volunteers to assist at the Christmas at the Market event. Once again we will be manning the doors and requesting donations on behalf of Saving Paws Cat Rescue and Opal Family Services. We would love to have volunteers who enjoy meeting the public and who can cover at least a two-hour shift (longer shifts can be arranged) while helping us raise funds for both organizations. Chairs can be provided if needed! Please reach out if you would like to assist. As parking may be difficult - lots of people attend this market - you may wish to be dropped off.

We still have spots left in our Paint-A-Room Contest fundraiser. We would love to get the remaining spots taken so we can make the draw. This is a great fundraising venture for us in collaboration with BJ’S Painting PLUS. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a refreshed room for the holidays?

Please share our event to help us spread the word

We want to thank Pet Valu for having us participate in Companions for Change. We were lucky enough to be selected along with CARMA Cat Rescue Maritimes Fredericton Chapter to participate in this fundraising initiative for rescues. This is a month long initiative in which every Pet Valu across Canada chooses and helps rescues with a variety of things that we need in order to carry on. We thank you so much for your kindness! You have helped to save a lot of animals in need!
