Who is the person you love experiencing live performance with?

For Valerie Moore, it's her best friend Mary.

But her story with the Fredericton Playhouse began more than 50 years ago, when Valerie and her late husband were university sweethearts. After the passing of both of their partners, Valerie and Mary continued their tradition of sharing evenings at the Playhouse and making new memories together.

At this year’s Season Launch, Valerie’s name was randomly drawn to win her entire season order for free.

Her reaction (and what she chose to do with those winnings) made the moment even more meaningful.

Watch Valerie share this story in her own words. And tell us: who is your favourite person to come to the Playhouse with? 👇💭

Daniel Lanois’ fingerprints are all over some of the biggest and most influential musical projects of the last few decades! Here are ten projects you didn't know he produced:

1. Red Dead Redemption 2 - Produced the game's original vocal soundtrack, including "That's the Way It Is," "Cruel World," and "Table Top."

2. The Killers – Battle Born (2012) - Lanois co-produced and co-wrote key tracks such as "The Way It Was," "Heart of a Girl," and "Be Still." This marked the band’s first songwriting collaboration with an outsider.

3. U2 – The Joshua Tree (1987) - Co-produced the landmark album featuring "Where the Streets Have No Name," "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For," an "With or Without You."

4. Bob Dylan – Time Out of Mind (1997) - Produced Dylan's Grammy-winning comeback album, including "Love Sick" and "Not Dark Yet."

5. Peter Gabriel - Lanois and Gabriel formed a legendary producer-artist partnership, collaborating on Gabriel's 1986 pop masterpiece So and its 1992 follow-up Us.

6. Neil Young – Le Noise (2010) - Recorded and co-produced the acclaimed solo at Lanois's home in Los Angeles without traditional overdubs.

7. Willie Nelson – Teatro (1998) - Produced the record, infusing it with cinematic textures by recording live inside an abandoned movie theater in California.

8. Emmylou Harris – Wrecking Ball (1995) - Produced the Grammy-winning album that transformed Harris' sound and is widely regarded as one of the greatest country albums ever made.

9. Robbie Robertson – Robbie Robertson (1987) - Produced the former Band guitarist's acclaimed solo debut, featuring collaborations with U2 and Peter Gabriel.

10. Brian Eno - Lanois collaborated extensively with this legendary producer on U2's biggest albums and other groundbreaking ambient and rock recordings.
