20k Sock Day is a grassroots initiative aimed at encouraging individuals and businesses to donate new, warm socks to shelters across Canada during the cold winter months. From November 3, 2025, to February 27, 2026, the community is encouraged to donate or collect and donate new, warm socks to
help keep the feet of New Brunswick's unhoused warm and dry. This year, we are also inviting the community to donate or collect and donate warm toques to allow us to ensure that the unhoused are kept warm from head to toes. Since this initiative began in New Brunswick in 2020, the incredible generosity of our local communities has resulted in 62,002 pairs of socks being donated to local shelters:

2026 - ????? Our 2026 goal is to collect 20,000 pairs of socks and 2,000 toques for those in New Brunswick who need our help. How can you help?
1. Be a SOCK SUPPORTER and donate socks
2. Be a SOCK STAR and collect socks at your business or school to donate
3. Be a SOCK AMBASSADOR in your community by collecting socks and helping to find additional sock supporters and sock stars! Let's all work together and put a sock, or even better, let's put 20,000 pairs of new, warm socks and 2,000 warm toques in it!
