Yoga has been renewed for September 2026

Benefits of yoga include increasing strength, flexibility and stability as well as connecting mind and body to promote overall well-being. Candy believes strongly in the restorative properties of yoga practice and it’s role in living a more balance life.

Please bring your own mat and any props that you like to use as well as slippers/indoor footwear if you like to have something on your feet.

* No refunds after classes start. A minimum of six is needed to run the class.

Our instructor, Candy Haugen has been practicing yoga for more than 25 years and has been a certified yoga teacher since 2019. Candy has completed her 200 hours of YTT training as well as Yoga for Aging and can accomodate yoga for seniors, proving instruction for modified poses as needed.

The outside of the Aspen Gardens Community Hall will have an updated look soon!

The Aspen Gardens Community League is excited to share news of our partnership with Muralfest; a non profit that coordinates funding with communities and fantastic Alberta artists! Teenybotanist, an Alberta based artist has created a beautiful design for our League building based on the wonderful nature that surrounds our community!

Community art increases neighbourhood vibrancy; and it decreases graffiti vandalism as vandals are less likely to target art installations. As part of the project, our League Building will also be wrapped in an antigraffiti coating, making any unfortunate incidents easy to remove.

Take a look at the renderings. This may not be the final design, but it is an awesome first look! Be sure to stop by and check it out as it is being installed! You can take pictures of the process - feel free to tag us on here or on our Instagram if you visit, we would love to see! We are very excited about this partnership, and we hope that you are too!

Note: due to artist availability, our timelines have tightened significantly with work potentially starting as soon as August 14th.

The Equip Sports Locker Program is now available in Edmonton, making it easier than ever to stay active. Think of it as a self-serve sports gear library right in your neighbourhood!

✨ What you need to know:
• FREE to use — no cost to borrow gear
• Open daily from 6:00 AM – 10:00 PM
• Located in parks near schools & community leagues
• Stocked with gear based on the space (basketballs, soccer balls, frisbees & more!)

2. Find a locker near you
3. Unlock, play, and return when you’re done

💡 These lockers are here for the community — help keep them in great shape by reporting any issues using the QR code on-site.
